Schneider SG 38

The demand a primary glider arose when the swedish Air Force started its sailplane training. The Schneider SG 38 licensebuilt by the swedish company
AB Flygindustri was choosen. 40 examples was delivered between 1943 and 1948, serving at all wings. They were given the serials 8001-8040.
The remaining SG38:s was sold to civil Flying Clubs when the Air Force ended its glider activity in the early fifties.
As this type of glider didn't have to get registered on the swedish civil aviation register, there has been quite hard to track down the individual history of
each glider.
