Cover text:

JAN HENRY SJÖSTRÖM, HANK JANSSON and STEFAN SUNDLÖF have during the last two decades acquired a well established position on the Scandinavian bluesscene mainly trough their many years in the CHICAGO EXPRESS, characterised as a band of world class. But the story of the BLUES ROCKERS started a bit earlier.Already in 1975 Sjöström and Jansson formed the group.

When the Chicago Express disbanded in 1996, after 15 years, numerous tours and four cd:s, the present constellation of HARMONICA HENRY & the BLUES ROCKERS took shape. This four piece band from Södertälje, an industrial town Southwest of Stockholm, has since performed at the biggest annual festivals throughout Scandinavia and at a great number of clubs. The press has called them one of Scandinavia's foremost bluesbands. Members of the band have performed with blues greats such as Big Walter Horton, George Smith, J.B. Hutto, Eddie Taylor, Snooky Pryor, Sunnyland Slim, Jimmy Rogers, Floyd Dixon, Phillip Walker, Johnny Shines, Louisiana Red, Lightnin' Slim and Jimmy Dawkins.
Sjöström has, with his powerful and deep harmonica, joined the high ranks of international harp players. He has been a driving force for Swedish blues since the seventies.

MIKA SAVINAINEN, with his roots in rockabilly holds a well merited position as a slap-bassist in Scandinavia.

Together Harmonica Henry & the Blues Rockers project a soulful rendition of the blues.
