Why the name "Februari 93"? Because that's when we were formed, or what? WRONG! The band started summer 1994. During a gig with Forlorn, some of the members switched instruments and played a few Swedish folksongs (with a touch of metal to them). But, we didn't have a name for this new constellation, so we were forced to come up with something quickly... and that's when we became Februari 93. That was the "projectname" for a Forlorn song (now called "Awakening"), simply beacuse it was written in february 1993. However, we thought this was fun, so we quickly arranged about 10 old traditional songs and recorded them, mostly just for fun. However, these songs found their way to Carsten's (Solistitium) carstereo. He liked our folk-rock, and signed us for a one record deal. The album was recorded in FS-studio, Söderhamn. It contains 13 songs, 4 being our own compositions while the rest are re-arrangements of more or less known songs and lullabies. Watch out for the CD!!! Guest musician on the CD is Mats Björk, playing the cello.
